Iqsinaqtutalik Piqtuq: The Haunted Blizzard

Project Spotlight: Aviaq Johnston’s animated Inuit horror short tells a modern story of the supernatural.

Once in a long time—with years and decades in between—a blizzard comes back. It roams through the land, bringing something with it. Inu, a young girl, is followed home by a shadow brought by the blizzard.

The story will take audiences on a journey into a modern Inuit horror story based on the short story by Aviaq Johnston. Iqsinaqtutalik Piqtuq: The Haunted Blizzard will appeal to a youth audience, many of whom are unaware of traditional Inuit folklore.
