Thank You

A message to all who participated in the 2022 Arctic Arts Summit.

Dear all,

On behalf of The Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Yukon we wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many valued delegates, artists, knowledge keepers, culture carriers, partners and volunteers for your participation in the 2022 Arctic Arts Summit. We are grateful to all those who attended and contributed, whether in Whitehorse, on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council, or by connecting with the Summit online.

Each Summit is an invaluable opportunity to celebrate and foster cooperation between circumpolar artists and nations, and it was an honour with this Summit in particular to facilitate and join such a robust representation of Indigenous voices, perspectives, and leadership in all aspects of the event.

We hope you enjoyed the 2022 Summit and made the most out of the discursive and artistic programming. As you continue to build on the knowledge and connections fostered over the course of the event, we encourage you to revisit the livestreamed panel recordings and explore the extensive digital programming available at ArcticArtsSummit.ca, where new content will continue to be added.

Once again, we offer our sincere gratitude for the fruitful conversations, deepened connections, and informative exchanges that were had over the past year. We look forward to building on the momentum created during the 2022 Arctic Arts Summit as we work – together – to further strengthen and connect arts and culture across the North.
