Artist Spotlight: A Postville photographer draws inspiration from the land.

Samantha Jacque is a photographer from Postville, Nunatsiavut and has a diploma in Digital Photography from McKenzie College in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She has attended photography workshops organized by the Nunatsiavut Government. Samantha has photos in the SakKijâjuk exhibition currently touring galleries in Canada. She also has photos in The Rooms Provincial Artbank, the CDBC office in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and the Nunatsiavut Government buildings.

Samantha’s photography was featured in the March 2019 issue of the Downhome magazine and some of her photos were also used in the new student textbook InukKutivut IlukKusivut: Our People, Our Culture. Samantha is an avid outdoorswoman who draws her inspiration from the land.
