Kan du komme ned og hente meg igjen? is a dance performance filmed in one take with a single camera, in the deep Arctic snow. The performance is close—both in the distance and in theme. The two dancers, Inge Martin Helgesen and Sigurd Johan Heide have a nostalgic but distorted relationship, and exploit their bodily knowledge to balance playfulness and seriousness. The joiker Emma Elliane joins the performers in games and with Sámi joik. Musician Benjamin Mork treats the piano as a mechanical instrument, and has processed the musical material to reflect the performance’s state: astate of male physicality, seriousness, and games. Violent games.
